SPEAKERS: Kelley Currie, Access and Functional Needs Coordinator–Brunswick County Emergency Services and Audrey Hart, Access and Functional Needs Coordinator–New Hanover County Emergency Services
With hurricane season nearing, our presenters will cover hurricane preparedness, with a focus on how to help parents who may have medical, access, or functional needs that would place them at higher risk during an emergency situation.
Participants will also learn about the AFN Program and how it helps those who may have special medical needs that would make evacuation more difficult, the loss of electricity more dangerous, or cause other challenges in an emergency.
