When Someone You Love Has Dementia
Caring for someone living with dementia can bring unique challenges, questions, and moments of uncertainty. Join ACAP (Adult Children of Aging Parents) for a special one-day conference designed to provide family caregivers with greater understanding, practical strategies, and tools they can use throughout the caregiving journey.

The morning session will feature a presentation from the Alzheimer’s Association, providing valuable information about Alzheimer’s disease and dementia and helping caregivers better understand the changes their loved ones may experience.

In the afternoon, participants will take part in interactive breakout sessions focused on two important aspects of dementia care. A session on communication and managing dementia-related behaviors will offer practical approaches for responding to challenging situations, improving communication, and creating more positive interactions. Participants will also have the opportunity to experience an immersive experience designed to provide greater insight into the physical and cognitive challenges a person living with dementia may encounter.

Whether you are new to caregiving or have been supporting a loved one for years, this conference will provide education, practical resources, and a deeper understanding to help you navigate the dementia caregiving journey.
