According to the Alzheimer’s Association, Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia now impact more than five million Americans and are a leading cause of death among aging persons. People are living longer and, as the baby boomer population ages, the number of aging adults and their adult children who are affected is projected to increase dramatically.

In this program, here from someone with lived experience, working in the field of providing care to older adults to now managing her own personal experience with dementia.

We will also here about the latest medical advances in the diagnosis and care of people with dementia.

Lynn Ross is a social worker, now retired, after working with the older adult population in home care and for the Center for Movement Challenges.
