Medicare and SHIP: The Must-Knows

Many older adults depend upon federally-funded Medicare for their primary medical benefits and hospitalization insurance coverage. Many also benefit from state-funded Senior Health Insurance Information Programs (SHIP). However, Medicare and SHIP programs have different eligibility requirements and service coverage. This program will help adult children understand Medicare and SHIP programs that may benefit their aging parents so that they can be more informed advocates for their parent’s health and medical care and service coverage.
