This program is designed to help adult children understand Alzheimer’s disease and other age-related types of dementia so they can help their parents manage these diseases and choose the resources and supports that best help their aging parents and themselves. Program topics will include memory assessment, non-medical caregiving options, supports, and emerging research, and strategies for securing resources and support for those experiencing memory loss.

Laurie Beth Bryant, CRC, LAPC, Associate Program Director, Georgia Memory Net/Emory Brain Health Center, and Brooke Tyson, Community Services Educator, NGPG. Georgia Memory Net is a statewide program dedicated to the early diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Its objective is to improve outcomes and quality of life for people dealing with memory loss, while streamlining services and offering more efficient care.
