Understanding and Accessing VA Programs and Benefits

Many older adults have served in the military and may qualify for Veteran Affairs (VA) programs and services. These benefits can include financial help and medical insurance. This program helps adult children understand VA programs to better support their aging parents’ healthcare needs. VA programs are separate from other programs and may differ in eligibility requirements and service coverage.

Program Presenter: Evan Kaltman, Chief Revenue Officer, Veterans Home Care (widely known as The VetAssist Program)

Kaltman is dedicated to informing communities about VA benefits for long-term care. In addition to his work with VHC, he stays up to date with the latest practices through active involvement with the NJ Association of Veterans Service Officers and serves on the Board of Trustees for Welcome Home Vets of NJ.
