ACAP KANSAS CITY

Who We Are

Welcome to ACAP Kansas City, your dedicated partner in navigating the complex journey of caring for aging parents. We understand the unique challenges faced by adult children in caregiver roles, such as emotional stress, financial difficulties, and feelings of isolation. Our goal is to provide a nurturing community that supports you through these challenges.

At ACAP Kansas City, we offer free educational programs each month specifically designed to meet the needs of caregivers like you. Each session is carefully crafted to address the diverse topics and concerns that arise during the caregiving journey. From emotional well-being to financial management, our programs provide the knowledge, confidence and support you need to effectively care for your loved ones.

ACAP Kansas City is more than just a resource; it is a community of caregivers who draw strength and inspiration from shared experiences. Our chapter is committed to empowering caregivers with the knowledge and confidence needed to make informed decisions about their loved ones’ care.

Join us at ACAP Kansas City to benefit from the expertise of senior services professionals and connect with a vibrant community of caregivers. Together, we will improve the well-being of adult children of aging parents and others who care about older adult loved ones, ensuring a supportive and fulfilling caregiving experience for all.

Senior Make-A-Wish

ACAP Kansas City is excited to announce the 2026 Senior Make a Wish Program. Last year’s winner chose a Las Vegas trip happening this spring. We’ll share photos if possible, but sometimes what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!

We’re seeking nominations throughout the ACAP Kansas City region for seniors who have a long-held wish or want to revisit past experiences. The ACAP Kansas City Senior Make a Wish program aims to fulfill one special senior’s dream.

Please nominate someone who you believe would benefit from a wish. ACAP Kansas City will review submissions, choose a recipient, and work with the nominee, their family, and the nominator to make the wish happen.
