Making Sense of Medicare: Discover How SHIP Can Help

Open Enrollment for Medicare is October 15th through December 7, 2026.&nbsp; Join us&nbsp;<span>to learn about Medicare programming and SHIP (CT’s State Health&nbsp;</span><span>Assistance Program). Gain valuable knowledge about Medicare programs for your aging parents. Learn about eligibility, coverage, and how to use federal and state resources. This program will help you grasp&nbsp;</span><span>the ins and outs of Medicare in a way that is easy to understand.</span><div><br /></div><div><b>Our learning objectives for this program are:</b></div><div><ul><li>Recall Medicare eligibility requirements and services including the purpose and service coverage of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D</li><li>Access the federal Medicare website to complete eligibility paperwork, monitor personal/family Medicare services, download the current year’s Medicare manual, and seek answers to questions.&nbsp;</li><li>Learn about and compare physicians, hospitals, nursing homes, and other medical providers via <b>Medicare.gov.</b></li><li>Create an action plan for navigating the Medicare world for your aging parent.</li></ul><div><br /></div></div><div>Refreshments will be served.</div><div><br /></div>
